On the evening of April 10, 2021, the longest wind turbine blade – 102 meters, in China arrived at Yangjiang deep water port, and will be tested in the National Center of Quality Supervision & Inspection for Offshore Wind Power Equipment (Yangjiang). This is also the first full-scale test of over 100 meter wind turbine blade in China.
The National Center of Quality Supervision & Inspection for Offshore Wind Power Equipment (Yangjiang) is approved by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China, and constructed and operated by China General Certification Center. It is the only national public inspection and technical service platform in the field of offshore wind power equipment in China. The full-scale blade laboratory, one of its main service scope, is the largest testing laboratory in the world that can carry out full-scale structural test of 150 meter blade.
After the 102m blade arrives at the test center, it will go through the inspections and tests including weight center of gravity, natural frequency, static test, fatigue test, static test after fatigue test, and go through the certification work at the same time.
