On March 12, 2021, Huadian Heavy Industry Co.Ltd., Boqiang heavy Industry Group and CIMC Raffles Offshore Engineering held a landmark signing ceremony in Yantai, China, to jointly build the next generation of jack up offshore wind power installation platform, which can install 20 MW wind turbines.

The offshore wind power installation platform signed this time is named “3060 series offshore wind power installation platform” after the “Carbon Neutralization” target. It includes “1 + n” high-end offshore wind power installation ships, and will gradually launch a number of high-end offshore wind power installation ships suitable for all kinds of complex sea conditions around the world. The design standard meets the operation requirements of China Sea area, European North Sea and Southeast Asia sea area.

The leg length of the platform is 120 meters (which can be extended to 136 meters), and it can work in the water depth of 65 meters. The crane is 2,200 tons, and the deck can accommodate four sets of 12MW or eight sets of 8MW wind turbine units. The first installation platform is scheduled to be delivered from CIMC Raffles in the first quarter of 2023.
