Recently, the international standard ISO 10119:2020 Carbon fibre — Determination of density was officially published by Nanjing Fiberglass R&D Institute Co., Ltd. This is the first international standard of carbon fiber led by China. The project is supported and funded by National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) project.

With the release and implementation of ISO 10119:2020 Carbon fibre — Determination of density, the new method of carbon fiber density measurement by gas volumetric method will be widely used by carbon fiber production and application enterprises all over the world. The release of the standard also fully reflects the strength of China’s carbon fiber technology, and marks the beginning of China’s role in the international standardization of carbon fiber.
