On December 30, 2021, Tanque Novo 180MW project of Xinjiang Goldwind Technology Co., Ltd. (Goldwind) was successfully signed in Curitiba city. The project is the second complete wind power project of Goldwind in Brazil after LDB 82MW project, and it is also the second joint cooperation between Goldwind and China General Nuclear Power Corporation International in Brazil.

Tanque Novo project is located in Tanque Novo and Caetité in Bahia State in Northeast Brazil. The total installed capacity of the project is 180MW, and 40 GW155-4.5MW permanent magnet direct drive wind turbines from Goldwind will be used for the project. The project is planned to be delivered in 2022 and completed in 2023. After completion, the annual power generation is expected to reach 800 million kWh, which will provide green energy for 320,000 local families.
