On September 9, 2021, Vuong Dinh Hue, President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, during his official national visit to Belgium, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on wind power strategic cooperation between Vietnam T & T group and Orsted, the world’s largest offshore wind power investment enterprise. This strategic cooperation will be developed through newly invested offshore wind power projects in Pingshun province and NingShun Province, with a total installed capacity of nearly 10GW and a total investment of about US $30 billion (the power purchase agreement contract period is expected to be 20 years).
