Spanish Companies Invest $200 Million To Develop Renewable Energy Business In South Korea

On June 16, 2021, according to South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy,  Ocean Winds based in Madrid decided to invest $100 million to develop an offshore wind farm in Inchon, west of Seoul. In addition, EDPR, the parent company of Ocean Winds, decided to invest $100 million to build a solar power plant in South Korea.

Ocean Winds, founded in 2019, is a joint venture between EDPR, a Spanish energy company, and ENGIE from French, which specializes in investing in wind energy business around the world.
