Sinoma 8MW-85.6 Offshore Blades Is Installed In Xinghua Bay

Abstract: Sinoma’s first set of 85.6m blades has been installed on a 8MW turbine in Xinghua Bay on May 28, 2020.

On March 18, 2020, the first set of Sinoma 85.6 blades independently developed by Sinoma Blade was loaded in Xingou plant area of Funing company and successfully sent to Xinghua Bay of southeastern China Fujian Province for installation.

On May 28, 2020, the blades have been installed on a GW175-8.0 turbine developed by Goldwind.

Sinoma 85.6 is an offshore blade developed for 8.0MW wind turbine platform. It adopts the new aerodynamic shape and all glass fiber structure design independently developed by Sinoma blade. It is the largest offshore wind turbine blade product of the company at present. The successful mass production of this product makes Sinoma blade occupy a strong competitive position in the market above 8.0MW.

The blade length of Sinoma 85.6 is 85.6m, the maximum chord length is 4.88m, the diameter of wind wheel is 175m, and the sweeping area is 23891m2, which is equivalent to the size of 3.4 standard football fields. The blade adopts a new aerodynamic shape and all glass fiber structure design, and has the characteristics of high reliability, low load, lightweight and easy to manufacture. It is the largest offshore wind turbine blade product of the company at present.
