On July 13, 2021, the world’s first anti typhoon floating wind turbine, MySE5.5MW anti typhoon floating wind turbine unit, independently developed by Mingyang Smart Energy, was hoisted at Maoming, Guangdong, Guanggang wharf and will be installed in the Three Gorges Yangjiang Shaba offshore wind power project. This is China’s first floating offshore wind turbine, which opens a new era of China’s floating offshore wind power, and is also a major milestone for China’s offshore wind power to go to the far-reaching sea.

The project is the first national level floating demonstration project, which will lay a solid foundation for the subsequent commercialization of China’s floating offshore wind power project.
