Recently, Siemens Gamesa announced that its SG 11.0-200 DD offshore wind turbine has received the full type approval from TÜV NORD, which is one year ahead of schedule.

SG 11.0-200 DD offshore wind turbine adopts B97 blades, with blade length of 97 meters and rotor diameter of 200 meters. Under the same wind resource conditions, the power generation of SG 11.0-200 DD is 9% higher than that of SG 10.0-193DD.

SG 11.0-200 DD has received orders from the Hollandse Kust Zuid project (1.5GW) ,Borkum Riffgrund 3 project (900MW) of Ørsted, Gode Wind 3 project (242MW), and Hollandse Kust noord project (759MW) of Shell and Eneco.

After receiving full type approval, the turbine will start mass production in 2022.
